It is known that the historically unclear muslin fabric got its name from Iraq-Mosul or Egypt. It is one of the oldest woven fabrics in the world. It is known that the Egyptians used it for swaddling babies for the first time. It is also known that it is hand-woven in India.

Muslins are semi-sparse fabrics known as diaper and gauze, which are produced from very old times, and which are woven in many different qualities as a minimum of two layers, three layers, four layers, even six layers, yarn-dyed, and jacquard. This fabric, which is often woven as square design, can also be woven as plain. Muslin fabric is an extraordinarily light fabric that does not irritate, protects skin health, is breathable, and helps babies to stay comfortable and warm due to its sparse weave. Made from pure cotton, muslin fabrics do not contain chemicals and harmful substances, which makes them 100% safe for babies’ skin and sustainable for our environment. This fabric, which also has high liquid absorbency, dries quickly. It has a useful tissue in all seasons of the year. The fact that this cotton fabric, which does not contain bacteria, is healthy is also one of the reasons for preference. Recently, muslin has started to be a highly preferred fabric in baby products with its delicate, flexible, and soft tissue. It is also preferred in adult clothing and home textiles. The fact that the fabric is produced from natural fibers such as bamboo and cotton is one of the most important reasons for preference.
